Demo from 1984

1984

The year was of course 1984 and what better time to write this song.  I've always been aware of the corruption in the world and still to this day I seem to see so much inhumanity to man that it really tears me apart sometimes.

The story of 1984 is one of a person living in a world more like a prison camp than a free society and his decision to escape from that existence.  Not being able to trust anyone he makes his escape only to look back and see all the people still entrapped in this societal prison of deception and lies.  At that point the story ends with the person needing to make a decision, do I go back and help those still entrapped escape or do I move on into my new found freedom.

What would you do?

You're the One

I was such a silly boy.

I met a girl from Stuttgart Germany in a lobby in St. Petersburg FL. in 1984 and talked with her for about 30 minutes.  I was so captivated by her I wrote this song.

Like I said, I was such a silly boy.

Holli

From about 7th grade until I left Florida for North Carolina for my senior year in high school I had been an admirer of the girl I call Holli.  She never knew until many years later how I felt when we finally talked together.  Call it puppy love, call it what you will, I call it Holli.

In Your Eyes

thoughts are dim on this one

German Girl

In 1976 I was working in an electronics company and met a girl newly arrived from East Germany.  During breaks we would talk together about our two different countries, years later I wrote this song.

No Tax

What can I say about this song.  who likes taxes????

Liberals I guess.......

Well God loves us all, taxpayers, tax collectors, liberals and me.
